Regional Conference in Serbia

The regional conference in Sumadija and Pomoravlje region took place on 20.03.2019 in Kragujevac. Due to a high interest of the stakeholders for the concept of integrated multi-sensory tourist product development the second conference took place on 06.04.2019,on the occasion of wine salon. The stakeholder group included most of the representatives of wine sector business, support service business, education – secondary school of tourism and academia, implementation of innovations in engineering and technology, a travel agency, e-media agency, marketing expert.

The expert speakers included: tourism management consulting, gastro tourism product development and sustainable tourism chains and an experienced NGO in product mapping and organization of typical Serbian food festivals ( so called “ijade”).

The expert speakers added expert input to strategy and action plan, and motivated stakeholders to further plan the activities in sustainable and integrated, multi-sensory tourism product development and management.

The agenda included the presentation of the project in the frame of Adrion programme as well as in the context of synergies with other ongoing regional projects that deal with tourism development in the region of Sumadija and Pomoravlje – developing destination management plan of the two main destinations as defined by the national tourism strategy, defining tourist products of wine and rakija tours, development of integrated tourism web site, mapping of cycling and hiking routes, establishment of slow green and healthy tourism promotion centers. – developing destination management plan of the two main destinations as defined by the national tourism strategy, defining tourist products of wine and rakija tours, development of integrated tourism web site, mapping of cycling and hiking routes, establishment of slow green and healthy tourism promotion centers.
